ANAKIN SKYWALKER/Darth Vader 
    
I will be doing a Character Analysis of Anakin Skywalker's motivations and Emotions. Anakin Skywalker is the "Chosen One" of the Star Wars Universe. George Lucas said that the Main Story of Star Wars is his tragedy. Anakin was born a slave on the desert planet of Tatooine and has no father. His story begins when he is found by Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn who sets out to train him as his apprentice. He eventually is trained by the Jedi Order and becomes a Jedi Knight but falls to the Dark Side and becomes Darth Vader. In this world of Star Wars, there is the Force of which is the spiritual energy field that binds everything in the Galaxy. There is a Light Side of good and a Dark Side of Evil. This is a story of how someone who is told he would be the one to bring complete balance to the galaxy treads both paths to bring that balance. I will be looking at what sort of motivations and emotions guided Anakin through his story.

Anakin and Vader's Guilt

Hello Everyone! It’s a me! I’m back! Welcome back to my blog studying Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader through different aspects of motivation and emotion theories. Today we are going to be looking at a specific emotion of Anakin’s and Vader’s which I think is their strongest, their guilt. Lewis describes shame as being internal and originating from specific behavior failure. Writing it as “I made a mistake, and I can fix this”. There are some key moments in Anakin’s and Vader’s story, mostly when he was Anakin that make him a guilt-prone person. Anakin Shedding a Tear after killing the Separatists on Mustafar  From what we understand about those who are guilt-prone they have a strong desire to make things right, and oh boy does Anakin and Vader share that desire. I believe this comes from Anakin’s life being told that he is the Chosen One and that his very purpose is to bring balance to the Force and to make things “right” on a galactic scale. Anakin's/Vader's Goal Complexities

 Greetings everyone! Welcome back to my character study of Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader of the Star Wars Universe. Today we will be looking at his Goals and the complexity of his goals. Looking at the factors behind his goals like his reasons, what kind of goals, and his achievement motive. As I said in my previous posts Anakin’s number goal was to become the greatest Jedi Ever in galactic history so that he could fulfill the prophecy of the Chosen One. This Prophecy states “ A Chosen One shall come, born of no father, and through him will ultimate balance in the Force be restored.” Now whether you believe Luke or Anakin is the Chosen, this blog follows the creator’s mindset and which George Lucas himself has stated that Anakin is the chosen one and that the Jedi interpreted the prophecy incorrectly.
